Seasonal Allergies:
If your dog or cat has seasonal allergies, it has to do with their environment. Breathing in pollen or dust, or walking and rolling in grass or weeds can expose their skin and lungs to these environmental allergens.
Your pet may be itching or scratching excessively and be quite miserable. They might chew or lick their paws, or bite at their tummy, armpit, and groin area. Hot spots, which are red and now hairless cause their skin to be raw and even bleeding.
If you suspect an environmental allergen is the cause, you can ask your veterinarian for an assessment. Testing for these types of allergies is more reliable than testing for food allergies. Vets may recommend allergy shots, steroid shots, or other prescription drugs that can give them some immediate relief. But hold on…why not try some natural solutions before that?
An herbal supplement that contains natural ingredients can help balance excesses and deficiencies in your pet’s body, and reduce heat in their skin, while draining phlegm. These herbs which include Raw Rehmannia Root, Scuttellaria, Plantago Seed, Alisma, Gardenia, Gentian, Licorice Root, Bupleurum, Jujube Seed, Angelica Root, and Longan Fruit are a part of our Allergy Support System.
Another way to support healthy skin and coat is to add fish oil. Salmon oil provides the preferred ratio of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids (13:1), and would be the perfect combination to help your pet’s immune system and result in a soft shiny coat. This is all a part of our Allergy Solution Set. Buy here!
